Water management in the vineyard is based on the knowledge of crop water requirement (ETc) and water demand regulation.ETc is also one of the important factors which affect gross crop productivity and fruit quality. It depends upon several factors, such as the region where it is located, the atmosphere of the region, the stage of plant development, soil water availability, vine cultivar, overall plant health, cultural practices and so on.To summarize and analysis the ETc of grapevine in the world,it can be concluded that the ETc value of grapevine range from 300 mm to 900 mm during the growth season.Due to the shortage of water resource, climate warming, population increasing, the concept of water use was changed obviously. Therefore, the water use efficiency becomes the main goal for irrigation.Exerting RDI and PRD accurately can not only maintain yield, but also improve water use efficiency and grape quality. The method of RDI often be used during berry set and revaison or after revaison, and the water deficit level must in appropriate range. So the severe water deficit is not recommended. When to use PRD in the vineyard, the time of irrigation interval is often one week to half a month.Although SDI may be beneficial to the quality of grape fruit, it often results in lower yield.
