Many Streptomyces species harbor circular (8-(H) kb) as well as linear plasmids (12-1700kb).By using PCR.we found that eight of 17 newly detected linear plasmids in Streptomyces strains lack typical telomeric tap and tpg sequences [1].We have identified internal replication origins from model linear plasmids SLP2 and SCP1 and newly isolated linear plasmids pRL2,pRL4.pSHK1 and pFRLI [2,3].
