Objective: A large scale replication study based on genome wide association study (GWAS) has implicated IκB kinase β (IKBKB) gene as genetic risk factors associated with Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in Chinese Han population.POLB gene linked to the IKBKB gene was correlated with decreased expression of Po1β.Recently, it was reported that POLBY265C/C mouse model developed an autoimmune pathology that strongly resembled SLE.The aim of this study was to evaluate the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the POLB region (rs3136717, rs3136744) with SLE in a Han Chinese population.
