Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) is an economically important leafy vegetable crop mainly growing in China, East Asia, and the U.S.and it is also grown in many other regions and countries.Genotyping by sequencing (GBS) is one of the next-generation sequencing platforms and it can be used in genome sequencing and SNP discovery for trait QTL mapping and association in any germplasm or species with and without prior knowledge of the genome in the species.
