Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is one of the most highly communicable diseases among the infectious diseases in domestic animals.Office International des Epizooties (OIE) classifies it as a first class communicable disease.According to Korean Standard Operating Procedure (SOP),the infected excrements by FMD must be disinfected to a pH above 10 using alkaline chemicals.
