Background: Airway management is one of the core practices in anesthesia.Different anthropological features combine with different pathology provides a background of airway problems in daily practice.In relevant with dental surgery,maxillofacial deformities again added another dimension to airway management especially in the pediatric population.Over the years many technological advances in airway has provided safety,ease and comfort for airway facilitation but these technologies may not be available is some places but surgical and critical need still demand an anesthesiologist to provide the best and safest anesthesia service.Method: This is a report on airway management using visualization technology focusing on applied practices in Hasan Sadikin General Hospital Bandung and Indonesia in general.Results: Some visualization technology is known and applied in Indonesia.Some of the most well know practice is using the video-laryngoscope in different setting included attached and separated monitor connection.Another popular approach is using the fiber optic intubation that currently has an increasing rise in Indonesia.Different scenarios and cases in which this technology is applied on patients are discussed here.But other areas,retrograde intubation and awake intubation remains one of the safest approach in airway management Discussion: Tips and tricks to a successful airway approach in limited settings are brought by here including several case reports Conclusion: An increasing application on technology in Indonesia is budding but knowledge and experience in different limited resource setting is still an important skill for an anesthesiologist in Indonesia.
