Metal binding to biofocculant greatly influences the removal of contaminant. In this work, the thermodynamic characteristics of the binding between hydrosoluble metals (with copper ion as an example) and bioflocculant of Ochrobactium ciceri W2 were investigated.Three-dimensional excitation-emission matrix (EEM) fluorescence spectroscopy with parallel factor was analyzed. The binding mechanisms were further explored by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.
