The flavonoid glycosides from Lithocarpus polystachyus Rehd.were investigated as potential source of natural sweeteners.On the basis of NMR and ESI-MS analyses, the chemical constitutes of the sweeteners isolated from L.polystachyus were identified as 3-hydroxy phlorizin (1), phlorizin (2), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside (3) and trilobatin (4).Compound 3,kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucoside was obtained from L.polystachyus for the first time.
