The Brassiceae is one of the most morphologically distinct tribes within the Brassicaceae family.The Brassiceae tribe is a monophyletic group comprising ~240 species in 49-54 genera.Among them,Brassica rapa (Chinese cabbage and turnip;n=10),B.oleracea (cabbage,broccoli and kale;n=9) and B.napus (oil seed;n=19) belong to the Brassicaceae family and include vegetables,oilseeds,condiments and forages of economical importance.In Japan,cabbage (B.oleracea) is infected with 17 diseases (The National Institute of Agrobiological Science Genebank).
