Chemicals containing both protic and hydridic hydrogens are potential hydrogen storage materials.Amide-hydride composite and metal amidoboranes are the two examples. It has been demonstrated that 5.5 wt.% or 10.9 wt.% of hydrogen can be reversibly or irreversibly stored in magnesium amide-lithium hydride and lithium amidoborane systems through reactions (1) and (2),respectively.[1,2]
