The extraordinary optical transmission (EOT) phenomenon of sub-wavelength structures including periodic metallic gratings has been observed for years.Due to the resonant mechanism, the transmission spectra are limited to the relative narrow bandwidth. In this paper, we propose a novel nano-seale silver film with periodical narrow slits, which have convex-parabolic walls. The film was designed to be deposited on the SiO2 substrate. And the property of broadband extraordinary optical transmission (up to 80%) of the grating in visible range was calculated by FDTD simulation. The influences of the slit entrance width Win, slit exit width Wout, period P and slit depth h to the transmission spectra were theoretically analyzed.
