Objective: to systemically evaluate the literatures of clinical researches on acupuncture for the treatment insomnia.Methods: electronic and manual searchings were implemented for papers,the languages included were Chinese and English,the disease condition was insomnia,and treatment was acupuncture treatment,the study type was randomized controlled trials (RCT),and we also referred to the standards of evidence-based medicine and the principles of acupuncture for and the evaluation of the general situation,the diagnosis of disease and eligibility standard,sample size,effectiveness measurements,follow-up,adverse events and safety evaluation.
