Microalgae is acknowledged as a kind of promising non-food biomass for fuel and chemicals production owing to its high photosynthetic efficiency, by which light, carbon dioxide and other nutrients could be converted to lipids, carbohydrates and proteins.Among vast microalgae species,Chlorella, which could be easily and fast cultivated, has been considered as a promising feedstock for large scale cultivation to produce biofuel and value added chemicals.
